My son Brian (40) is a 18 year vet of the Army. He's stationed now at Ft. Belvoir, Virgina. After 3 tours of the Middle East, he's sure happy to be state side. His next duty station will be Ft, Benning. Closer to home. Keep him & all our military in your prayers.

This is an excerpt from an email from Peggy Franklin-Ammendola
Our son Michael, 26 years old, is serving in the Navy.  He is an Ensign as is Al (John) Lockard's son.  I do not know if you recall, or if I told you,  that Al presented Michael with his Commission.  It was remarkable to be in a small chapel at the Pensacola Naval Air Station, with proud families watching as 33 young men and women were commissioned as Naval Officers and the guest speaker was retired Admiral Lockard.  Remarkable too that Al's son was one of the 33.  It was incredible for me.  We have a video and I was so impressed with Al's speech that I transcribed it and have it for safe keeping.
