Regarding Nick ('62) and Becky Bryant ('61) and Jeannie Reeves-McCurry's mother, Marguerite
This is a message from Patti Lynd Grandquest dated Wednesday 5/14 -
I talked to David today. Becky has a tumor. We won't know until tomorrow if it is cancerous or not. Nickie was diagnosed with Cancer last Sept. Also, tomorrow is Becky's birthday...65.
Please pray for both Becky and Nick. They are living in their parents home in Eight Mile.
Patti
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I saw Becky several months ago. She was in a wheel chair, but she was smiling and absolutely beautiful. Nickie has been Becky's caregiver for some time now, so they BOTH need our encouragement and prayers. Patti and David, Please keep us informed.
For those who are not aware, Becky was seriously injured in an automobile accident many years ago.
I cannot remember whether I sent out the following information or not, but twice is better than none.
Jeannie Reeves McCurry's mother, Marguerite, has been in a nursing home since March as a result of a stroke. We hope and pray that she improves so that she can go home. - Sandra
Regarding Millard Shore ('63) - GREAT NEWS!
I spoke with Norma (Shores) Moore this morning. The news is great!!! Her brother, Millard, was going home from the hospital today. Biopsies came back benign on the lymph nodes. Only the tumor was cancerous, and the surgeon said he was confident all of the affected mass was removed - no Chemo. What a blessing! PTL!
Regarding Jimmy Ford ('63)
I heard through a mutual friend of Jimmy Ford and his wife, Bobbie Ann, that Jimmy has been diagnosed with advanced prostate cancer. The course of treatment is being determined. I will keep you updated. Please keep Jimmy and Bobbie Ann and their family in your prayers.
Most of us remember Joyce Ford, Jimmy's sister who is no longer with us and his brother Robert (Bobby) who is still with us.
From Ronnie Moore
Elaine Pierce-Hall is fine. The doctors were amazed that she apparently did not have any of the problems they suspected. Elaine told them it was because of the prayers of her church family and friends. She is doing great. RO George, Lenora Jones-George’s husband - I talked to him last week. He is to start chemo or was to have started chemo last week. He sounded upbeat when I talked to him. Hope to continue to keep you up to date, and as you hear good or bad, happy or sad, please let us know..
