EDDIE W. WHITEHEAD  Died September 12, 2005 -  Sad news from Eddie’s sister, Eileen (Whitehead) Huisman
Email from Classmates.com - I have replied, but no answer yet.
Jean,
Yes, I was trying to get in touch with Jean Adams, 1964.
I saw her at one of the reunions.  We had a picture taken with 5 of us that all went to Sunday School together since we were children.  It was fun seeing how we have all aged.
Yes, I am Eddie Whiteheads sister.  I just found out that he died, Sept. 12, 2005.  His one daughter that is still alive was having someone trace her family and his name, birthdate, service info. was all correct.  He has been living in the Philippines since he retired from the Navy.  He was in the Navy his entire career.  I lived in Italy one year and he called me the year I returned.  That was the last that I heard from him.  The connection was bad and I was not sure that I heard his correct address.  I wrote, but never heard from him again.  His daughter is upset that no one contacted any of us.  Maybe his new family cannot read English.  Anyway, would you let the leader of your reunions know ?  I am trying to find a few of our classmates and it is always nice to know where they are when someone has the info.
Did you go to school with Eddie through the years or just at Vigor?  I remember that he ran tract.  He was dating a girl named Joyce, I think.  Can't remember her last name.  Do you remember anything about him?  I remember Jean's brother.  I saw him at the hospital and called him by his nickname.  He was surprised that I knew him and he asked me how.  The older boys never looked at us younger girls!!!!  He went to my church and that was how I knew him.
Thanks for contacting me.  Anything that you can remember about Eddie, I will tell his daughter.
Was in Houston this past Spring.  I drove the motor home across from Calif. to N.C.  Stayed in Mobile 1 month as I have one brother that lives there.  He is all that I have left of my immediate family.  Houston is so big, I stayed as far away as I could!!! Eileen
